Our kitchen is a 150m² full-service commercial facility filled with beautiful natural light, located in Strathfield South on Wangal land.

 

The space includes four complete prep stations (used by up to four businesses at one time), a separate dishwasher and cleaning room, dry store, cool room and walk-in freezer. All-day parking is included.

FoodLab is a social enterprise. Every booking helps fund subsidised rates and hands-on training for refugees, new migrants, First Nations peoples, and low-income women building food businesses in Australia.

Pricing

All bookings are made online. Rates are per workstation (2 spacious benches, fits 1-3 chefs, and include bump-in and bump-out time.

New members note: An initial join fee of approximately three days' rent applies when you first sign up. This is a one-time fee and is not included in the rates below.

How it works

Getting started with FoodLab is a simple process - designed to make sure you feel confident and safe in the kitchen from day one, regardless of how much industry experience you have.

1. Apply

Tell us about your food business and how you'd like to use the kitchen.

2. Induction

Complete a paid induction (2-3 hours) done online with an in-person assessment so you know the kitchen and equipment.

3. Book Online

Once you're set up, book and manage you sessions online - by the half-day, full day, or week.

4. Cook

Come back as often or as little as you need.
