Becoming a FoodLab Volunteer

Volunteering your skills and time as an industry professional is a powerful way to contribute to a flourishing food system in Sydney.

Here are three ways to get involved:

Skilled technical volunteers

Skilled volunteers support entrepreneurs with industry guidance such as legal support, graphic design, or branding.

Mentors

Mentors are experienced business professionals are paired with participants to offer macro-level support over their business direction.

FoodLab Volunteers

These are generous individuals who help with growing the capacity of our organisation so we can further our impact. Volunteers help us run events, pack food hampers, and some even put their hand up to sweep the floors.

I'm humbled to a mentor in the FoodLab program. FoodLab’s approach gives people the confidence and tools to help them take the leap to start their food business. This support helps answer their questions, save them from mistakes and time, connects them to contacts within the industry and helps support their creativity. FoodLab mentors offer a real insight into what to expect on the journey within the food industry.
