What is FoodLab?

We are a registered charity and social enterprise kitchen incubator that helps food entrepreneurs from refugee, migrant, women and First Nations backgrounds to thrive. Since 2019, we have helped launch over 20 food businesses, from food service, products and catering.

Our Catering Program

The food industry is not an easy one. FoodLab provides opportunities for our entrepreneurs to access business opportunities through a range of organisations that genuinely believe in us, our participants, and really good food.

We provide:

  • A distinctive and diverse culinary experience with authentic, heart-made meals crafted by our talented entrepreneurs.

  • Meaningful employment and training from our highly experienced chef team in a structured training program - everything from menu design, costing, site visits, prep lists, execution and feedback.

  • A practical and empowering way to help launch small and local food businesses in Sydney.

What We Offer

FoodLab offers a range of catering options from light snacks, canapes, drop-off catering, or full meal services on site. Our entrepreneurs provide authentic, delicious meals created from their own cultural backgrounds and experiences.

 

Our entrepreneurs are mentored and supported by the FoodLab chef team to deliver engaging and unforgettable events. With so much talent on hand, we can offer the perfect menu for any event.
